This is the year of the iPhone 16

This year, I’m probably going to buy the iPhone 16, and I’ve decided to resist the urge to switch to Android. As someone who’s had an iPhone 12 for a while now, this upgrade is going to be pretty substantial — faster processor, better camera, and all those fancy new features. But here’s the thing: as a new parent, now’s not the time to be fiddling with a new platform and OS, no matter how exciting it has been promising.

I know Android has a lot to offer, but honestly, the iPhone has served me well over the years. I’ve got my photos, messages, apps, and everything synced perfectly in iCloud. It just works. Plus, when time is at a premium (diaper changes and baby feeding don’t leave much room for tech experiments), sticking with what I know makes the most sense.

So, while the Android switch is tempting, this year, I’m playing it safe and sticking with Apple. It’s reliable, and for now, that’s exactly what I need.
